All you need to provide is your ingredients and a suitable cleaner and sanitiser. Designed for 23 litre batches. Simply assemble, sanitise and add your ingredients.

• 30 L Fermenter with Lid and Grommet
• Airlock
• Fermenter Tap
• Hydrometer
• Thermometer
• Mixing Spoon

Mixing Instruction:

  1. Clean your fermenter, lid, airlock, grommet, tap and spoon with unscented detergent andensure it is clean.
  2. Screw the tap into the hole at the bottom ofthe fermenter, place the grommet into the lid andattach the stick-on thermometer around themiddle of the fermenter on the outside.
  3. Sanitise your fermenter, lid, and spoon with yourchoice of sanitiser – following the instructionsincluded with your sanitiser.
  4. Once sanitised, mix your ingredients as per yourrecipe’s instructions to the desired level (there arevolume markings on the fermenter) and stir well.Secure the lid.
  5. Half fill the airlock with water or a sanitiser solutionand place into the grommet, it should be tight.
  6. Take your original gravity (OG) reading by fillingthe tube your hydrometer came in (remove paperinsert first) with liquid from the fermenter tap, then gently lower the hydrometer in and writedown the number where the liquid levels off onthe hydrometer (typically 1.040 – 1.090 dependingon what it is).
  7. Ferment your chosen recipe in a location which willremain at the ideal temperature for your recipe, keep an eye on the thermometer strip to ensure itremains at a consistent temperature.
  8. Your recipe has completed fermenting when yourspecific gravity (SG) remains the same over 2-3consecutive days. To check your SG, follow step 6again and record this.
  9. Depending on what you have fermented, you cannow move to the next stage in your recipe or tobottling or kegging.

NOTE: While the airlock bubbling can be anindicator that fermentation is underway orcomplete, you may not always get an airtight sealand so bubbling may not occur. This is notanything to be concerned about as the productshould be protected as long as fermentation isunderway. Due to this, you should always usegravity readings as the final indication of activeand complete fermentation.
